The Lazarus Effect 2015 revolves around a group of medical students who conduct an experiment to bring a deceased person back to life. The team, led by Dr. Emma Taylor (Olivia Cooke), uses stem cells and electric shocks to revive a dead dog, which surprisingly comes back to life. Encouraged by their success, they decide to use the same technique on a human, a recently deceased woman named Sara.
