As Taro tries to navigate his feelings and get Natsumi's attention, he meets a cast of colorful characters who aid or hinder his progress. There's Miki, the café's owner who becomes a confidant; Taro's best friend, Shinji, whose jealousy manifests as a green, slithery creature; and Natsumi's rival, the confident and charismatic Rina, whose pink aura radiates an intimidating presence.
