The movie follows Christy Brown's life from his childhood to his early adulthood. Despite being born with cerebral palsy, Christy's parents encourage him to live a normal life. With the support of his family, Christy learns to adapt to his condition and discovers his artistic talents. He learns to paint and write using his foot, which becomes his primary means of creative expression.
