The Mitsubishi ASX is a compact crossover SUV that has gained popularity worldwide for its versatility, comfort, and driving dynamics. This paper presents the design and optimization of the ASX powertrain, focusing on fuel efficiency and performance. The authors discuss the development of a new engine and transmission combination, as well as the integration of advanced technologies such as variable valve timing and lift (VVT) and a dual-clutch transmission (DCT). The results show that the optimized powertrain achieves significant improvements in fuel efficiency and performance, making the ASX a competitive player in its class.
