Born on October 26, 1927, in New Jersey, Clark grew up in a loving family and developed a passion for writing at an early age. She began writing short stories while still in her teenage years and continued to write throughout her life. After graduating from high school, Clark worked as a secretary and later as a model to support herself while pursuing her writing career.
