Manisha Koirala was born on September 16, 1971, in Kathmandu, Nepal. She began her acting career in 1991 with the Nepali film "Panchi Bara Ma", but it was her breakthrough role in the 1993 Bollywood film "Saajan" that brought her to the attention of a wider audience.
