The first film in the franchise, Dhoom, was released on August 27, 2004. The movie introduces us to Jai (Abhishek Bachchan), a thief who is coerced by ACP Pratap (Vijay Krishna Acharya) into helping him catch a notorious bike thief, Aryan (John Abraham). As Jai and Pratap work together, they uncover a larger plot involving a valuable gemstone.
