The town's poultry industry is estimated to be worth over ₹500 crores, providing employment to thousands of people directly and indirectly. The farms in Aadukalam produce over 1 lakh eggs and 5,000 chicken per day, making it one of the largest poultry-producing towns in Tamil Nadu.
